Two types of tests are used to determine module strength:

a static and a dynamic test. The first applies increasing pressure onto the back of a module until it breaks, while the second simulates the effects of dynamic loads by alternately pushing and releasing pressure onto the back of a module with increasing pressure.

These tests highlight that IEC testing according to 61215 only provides limited information about module strength. Yet at Q CELLS, we do not leave anything to chance, and decided to test the actual strength of our modules.

Most reputable module manufacturers claim that their modules can withstand 5400 Pa based on IEC standards. However, IEC fails to take the safety factor into account – unlike the test we did at James Cook University. Based on those results, you can be confident that Q CELLS modules are strong enough for any wind region in Australia.

Q.PRO IS THE BEST POLYCRYSTALLINE SOLAR MODULE

The Q.PRO solar modules outperform their competition and come out as the No. 1 poly-crystalline module in the 2014 PHOTON module yield measurement test. The Q.PRO-G2 235 Wp modules have been the top-performing polycrystalline modules of 147 different PV modules from 107 manufacturers.

In 2016 Hanwha Q CELLS obtained the "Top Brand PV" Seal from EuPD Research (Hoehner Research & Consulting Group) for the markets in the USA, Europe, and Australia.

EuPD Research regularly evaluates the brand management of module and inverter manufacturers in the USA, Europe, and Australia. They analyze how companies positively differentiate their products and services from other options in the market.

EuPD Research consults installers based on brand awareness, brand evaluation, customers' selection and buying decisions, as well as sales.


"SOLAR INDUSTRY AWARD 2015"

The Solar Industry Awards were created in 2008 to recognize products or services that develop innovative manufacturing and technology. The polycrystalline solar modules Q.PLUS-G4 was ranked as the No 1 module manufacturing innovation by 70,000 voters who participated in the two-month online voting process. The winning module was nominated by the panel in order to credit Q CELLS' Q.ANTUM TECHNOLOGY. The "Solar Industry Award" was awarded in 13 categories.


RESULTS FOR DYNAMIC TEST WIND REGION C

Our modules were tested with increasing pressure to a maximum of 7 kPa and subjected to a total of 10360 cycles to simulate a cyclone as best as possible. Accordingly, our modules survived pressure that is equivalent to a 1 in 500 year cyclone in wind region C.

Q CELLS modules are tested under climatic condtions far beyond the moderate climate of Germany. Even in such climate conditions, Q CELLS modules maintained its leading position.
