Solar power plant Brandenburg-Briest, Germany 91 MWp

In December 2011, the former military airport Briest turned into one of the world‘s largest power plants for solar energy. On an area of 280 soccer fields, the solar power plant Briest-Brandenburg provides a capacity of 91 MWp which generates power for more than 11,500 households. 

To achieve this, more than 383,000 crystalline modules from Q.CELLS were mounted and installed in a record time of only eight weeks. The power plant is a joint project between Q.CELLS and the investors of the Luxcara GmbH as well as the MCG Group.
