Q-Cells is one of the world's leading photovoltaic companies. The more than 200 scientists and engineers at Q-Cells are developing new technologies to achieve our primary aim: to drive down the costs of photovoltaics quickly and permanently. After all, this is the only way to make solar power affordable and competitive. Q-Cells' second pillar is the production of thin-film technologies based on various technologies.
Parallel to this, Q-Cells has been building up its project business through its subsidiary Q-Cells International, which specialises in the planning, construction and maintenance of large-scale solar parks and rooftop arrays. Within just three years, QCI has become one of Europe's biggest photovoltaic project developers. Q-Cells' portfolio is completed by Q-Cells Clean Sourcing, which is tapping another new business segment by providing industrial customers with green energy.
In a nutshell, we are developing photovoltaics as a sustainable, environmentally benign technology – and exploiting the commercial opportunities afforded by this rapidly growing market.
